Many Cowboys fans aren’t very smart about this thing are they...
No they aren't and it's been that way for a very long time.

Dandy Don retired early because the fan base was clueless.

Staubach remains the only QB to have the full support from fans

Aikman didn’t have full support?? I’m not saying you are wrong - that was just before the social media brigade.

I remember the division over him and Walsh that first year. Funny as that seems...
Also in the end when the Cowboys were losing. A lot of (clueless) cowboy fans were calling for a change in the end, when he was really the only disipline left from the Jimmie Johnson era. The locker room became soft & finger pointing instead of taking responsibility.
So Aikman was questioned in the very beginning & in the very end.

He suffered from too many concussions.

I remember at the end some people wanting Randall Cunningham.

The middle of the field going to be open for Dak runs or for the running backs. Cee dee ,coop and Gallup command attention.. this offense could really explode when Collins and Smith return

Beats the hell out of Garrett’s nonsense.

He has a great point. I thought he may have done it because the Atl defense was gassed at that particular time.

I still think his logic is flawed but at least he can explain it.
