There is some talk in Ottawa that the Sens like Koekkoek enough to take him 15th overall.

I'm not sure he's a better prospect than some other D-men around there but I'd be OK with that pick. The kid has a lot of upside. Local boy too.

Geez the kid missed most of the season. I know he had a good combine but, wow that's a bit high. I was hoping Slater would last to the Isles pick in the 2nd round. I know the chances were slim to begin with, but top 15? DAMN!!

It's just a rumour at this point and I think there are guys the draft team likes more than Kookie. Personally I like the idea of Maatta going to the Sens.

Starts with a G and ends with an X. :heh:

Seriously maybe a 2nd round pick?

well, for the 21089467 draft in a row (also read, every draft holmgren has ran) the flyers don't have a 2nd round pick.. how about bobrovsky? anderson is gunna need a replace soon right?

lehner is no good

I'll be surprised if Maata is available at 15. It's possible because there are so many D in this draft that are close in terms of talent. I have no idea what Barf is going to do at 4. I really don't want a defenseman at 4. The forwards who will be available all seem to have questions that need to be answered. I expect Yakupov & Forsberg to go 1 & 2 though & that might not happen either.

Hey it happens to the Sens too.

Remember Burke stealing Kadri from Bryan Murray in 2009? Poor Sens had to settle for Jared Cowen.:lol:

Hmm... Ceci plays for the 67's. What about him kenny?

You and I talked about him a few weeks back. Some have him going as high as 6th, others as low as 15-16. I think he'll hover around the top 10 mark.

He's a sure fire NHLer, IMO.

Contrary to what some are saying I still think his footwork and skating need some work for him to be a star. His offensive instincts are fantastic and he has the size to play against most NHLers in his won end. I think his first step and his pivot could use some work (as is the case with most 18 year olds).

He'll be a top 4 D-man in the NHL at some point, no question. If he has a great work ethic and good coaching early in his development he could become a top pairing guy, and a good one, IMO.

It should be noted that I don't live in Ottawa anymore and saw him live only 3 times this year, along with about 8 times on TV/streams.
