Number 10 sucks but there is a good chance to make up some ground if we have a good showing Saturday.

Stanford vs. Oregon------------have to like Stanford's chances

TCU at West Virginia----------going to be a shootout and could go either way

Auburn vs. Ol Miss------------very interesting to see how far one of these teams fall in the rankings. One will have two losses but will they still be a head of ND? Maybe maybe not

Florida State at Louisville-----------I like the cardinals chances of pulling out an upset at home.

Arkansas at Mississippi State--------Arkansas is bound to pull off an upset one of these games

OSU at Kansas State------------not convinced Kansas State is anything great. OSU could make it interesting if they take care of the ball

There is going to be a few upsets this week in my opinion. Take care of business against Navy and we are going to move up even if it just a few places. I am MR. optimistic here

Arkansas very much can win this game. They may be the most under-rated team in college football as far as public opinion goes.

They are ranked #21 in the ESPN FPI ratings(Miss St is #5, ND is #15):

ESPN Football Power Index - 2014 - ESPN

And they are ranked #35 in the massey composite rankings.

College Football Ranking Composite

On the other hand, I thought they could maybe upset Georgia and that ended up being laughable. But still, it's not impossible for a dark horse upset pick. Being #1 is tough for teams to handle, we've seen #1's lose games like this constantly over the years.

We really need Stanford to win, for two reasons.

1. Knocking Oregon out of the way
2. Making our schedule look better

We'll have plenty of opportunities to make up ground in the rankings, but we also have to focus on Navy and then ASU. If we lose another game, non of this is going to matter.

Yes we can make up a lot of ground this week. We also have to take care of business and win by 21+

I just want us to win out. A few games have me nervous. Take care of our own business and it will all fall into place.

We also have to watch out for teams behind us. If Utah, Arizona, or Baylor win out, I have no doubt that they would pass ND. I think every committee member will put a lot of emphasis on conference championship games.

True ... beating the Middies by single digits surely will not help the cause, but this team .... :gaah:

West Virginia coach has no balls. He could have thrown the ball and tried to get the first down to win the game but instead tries a run on roughly a third and eight hoping his defense can hold a two point lead with about two minutes to go and TCU having two time outs left. Horrible decision.

extremely disappointing , all season long their strength was their offense yet they decided to rely on their defense to win the game for them when TCU has been racking up huge points all year and has a versatile offense with a mobile qb. Pussy ball indeed.

No real upsets this weekend but having Georgia lose helps. West Virginia really shit the bed.

Notre Dame will not make up any ground with how they played, they might actually lose ground. I wouldn't be surprised if Arizona State or Baylor jumps them in the poll.

This doesn't make sense.

Arizona State was not impressive at all.

I'm sorry you don't get credit for beating a terrible Kansas team who Navy would stomp out.

You look at a body of work....not just one week.

Arizona State beat a ranked opponent they will probably jump Notre Dame and Baylor might be more of a long shot but I wouldn't be shocked.
