His first year resume:

20 TD's
Pro Bowl
Playoffs
No OTA's
No Minicamp

By all means...we should get rid of him and look for a guy with a "rocket arm". Is Paul Justin still available? He's got that "zip" you need in a starting QB.

Orrrrrrrrrrr....we can let the '12 season play out and go from there. It's May. Reports are Dalton has bulked up. Also, there will be coaching from Zampese and working on footwork which he (Dalton) says wasn't always sound last year.

I have no doubts that there might be some smoke to this fire, it is Bengals management after all, but I wouldn't put your #14 jersey on ebay anytime soon.

Stop being so rational. It's the offseason - It's time to panic!

This is more about timing than arm-strength. Dalton will learn to get the ball out there sooner, and thus AJ can run under the ball.

Uh, no. dear Jesus.....This means that AJ has to run slower or Dalton has to take a 1 step drop and throw. It has nothing to do with timing.

Nope, haven't banned anybody lately...I don't think. Maybe I'm sleep-banning?

Incorrect. What it means is that Dalton has to recognize the defense sooner and get the ball out faster. Instead of noticing that AJ is open 20+ yards down field and thus having to throw the ball 50+ yards in the air to match up with where Green will be, he needs to see that maybe the Safety is in cover 3 at the 10-15 yard marker and get the ball out, making the throw through the air roughly 35-40+ yards in the air. Thus, allowing AJ to continue running at full speed, and not relying on Dalton to get the ball 50+ yards down field with his "weak" arm.

I know you hate the guy...it's cool...but you can't deny that timing has a lot to do with deep balls just as much as arm strength. Palmer routinely under threw CJ (as well as many over throws as well). Timing is key.

And yet, we can all seem to find soemthing to bitch about. Pretty amazing actually. A rookie QB, with no offseason, a #1 rookie WR, and a rookie OC in the NFL and one of the worst blocking guard tandems in the NFL and he goes to the probowl, has a better than 1:1 ratio of TD:INT and he is still standing trial for this freaking fan base.

He spent the offseason bulking up his upper body, knowing what he has to work on, and coach knows that besides the upper body, there are ways to go deep without having to throw the ball 50-60 yards in the air. For Gods sake, there is plenty to be concerned about with this team, there is no doubt about that, I do not think QB is one of those concerns right now unless Dalton goes down with an injury in training camp.

they just want Jeff Blake back.

He could throw deeper than anyone, but he couldn't run an offense worth crap.
