No matter the haters, he sure was fun to watch. And that's coming from someone who doesn't really watch college ball.

Not a fan of his personal antics, but who cares, if he can translate his skill set to the NFL.

It's quite obvious that as far as "running QB's" go, it's CK by a mile. He's the most gifted QB ever........

I am really excited to be watching CK, but I am not going as far to say he is the most gifted QB ever. I think Cam Newton is the best scrambling QB right now.

I believe Fran Tarkintan is the best scrambling QB of all time. I think Donovan McNabb is the best since 2000.

I bet all of those designed runs will go away once these QBs start getting paid.

Luck takes that most hits in the NFL, IIRC. He might be a great scrambler but at some point he is going to need an oline

its tough to gauge...

Kap is a fast straight line runner
Wilson is elusive as fuck
RG3 is quick, shifty n fast
Cam is a fast but powerful
Luck wouldn't really call him a runner but he can scramble if needed, nothing eye popping IMO
Manziel TBD
Geno... LOL
Alex Smith? he can scramble
ARod not so much a runner but he can break out n gain some yards
Big Ben always a rough runner
Romo meh, really stirred away from scrambling away from pocket.

now who has the best equip/balance of being a runner/passer?

IMO:
Luck
Kap
CAM
RG3(healthy)
RW

I'd probably put Kaep first at this point. I just don't get all the Luck love. The guy has been good so far but plays in a complete cup cake schedule and division. He plays in a weak AFC (at the moment) and Wilson/Kaep have already shown they can perform better in the playoffs (and please, the AFC has nothing against the Saints, Hawks, 49ers, and healthy Packers. That playoff run is MUCH harder for the younger QBs).

Yah yah I get it, both have great Ds. Indy's D wasn't HORRIBLE either. They were the 2nd in the AFC with TO differential.

Luck as the #1 runner? Are you kidding? Kaep is the most dangerous on the run and sliced Seattle's great D in the playoffs and has the flat out speed to make you pay (most be my traitor day, I've given praise the 9ers on two threads now).

Luck.... never have I seen the media hype up a player so much because they all blew it when they should've hyped up the better QBs, Wilson and Kaep.

And I'd love to See Luck on Seattle where the O-Line evaporates 99% of the time and there are no threats except a guy named Doug Baldwin (LOL) at the receiver or TE position. And then play against the Rams/9ers/Cards..... or play on a team like San Fran where ya the line is good but you go against the Hawks/Rams/Cards and can't coast your way to free wins against the MIGHTY JAGS, THE SCURY TEXANS!!!! OR OR THE ZOGMF TITANS!!!! AIEEEEEEEE

I'll take Cam. On average around 30 Total TDs a year. Over 100 rushing attempts every year, and still over 5 yards a carry. They know he's coming, and they still can't stop him. One of the strongest arms in the league. Nobody like him.

Who the hell wrote this garbage? Andrew Luck was at fault for zero sacks? Can we please stop trying to salamander the #'s to hype the guy up and let him stand on his own feet? He was solid his rookie season and he was solid last season. Not great, not average, but very solid.

Well, As much as we (Go Hawks) love RW, and his successful 1st down gains, 10+ or 20+, but not this elusive gain, he does the job. Luck is much the same.

Now this Kap guy, he could go OFF at any time. He scares me in the run game, very much. But keep him throwing, he will fold. Yes, FOLD. Not all the time, but a higher % than the elite.

Kaep scares me running the football. Could go 80+ at anytime, but QB is more than that. RW proved that.

Best running QB, sure, how does that help your niners win the SB???????, hasn't happened YET.

Yeah, I was rolling my eyes at that too. At fault for ZERO sacks? GTFO.

The issue with Andrew Luck being even in the discussion is that defenses are actively worried about the threat Kap, Cam, RW, and RGIII pose running the ball which they aren't with Andrew Luck. So Luck doesn't even belong in the discussion of "running QBs" in the first place.

Hmmm, that's an interesting take. Though he does scramble and run quite effectively, regardless.

I agree it's just my point is when teams are having their defensive meetings when it comes to Luck I doubt they putting a spy on him and telling the guys "Look we have to make sure Luck doesn't kill us with his legs and we all have to be alert when he does run."

Compared to the other 3 where it's going to be a point of emphasis to keep an eye where they are at, make sure you don't give them room to take off, take good angles, and be ready for the scramble.

So it's just harder for those 3 to be more effective runners because they face defenses that prepare for it.
