I know there is a huge narrative in Philly that Luvu is a dirty player but I just don't see it. Dirty implies intentional in my eyes. Bang bang plays not so much. and for the record, I believe it was Hurts head hitting the ground that knocked him out.

Let us not forget the days of Brian Dawkins, who I respected back in the day.
and Sean Taylor...

I think Luvu is a hard player in a similar vein, but he leads with his helmet, both to an already down Hurts, but also to Goff in the Lions game.

I was going to mention him!
I mean, how can you forget about him? You guys still wear his jersey like he was the second coming.

the statue they built for him was bad though...not even a jersey design he wore when he played...good thing they are replacing it with one approved by the family.

Seemed aimed at the shoulder to me with Hurts. With Goff, he was trying to block against his INT so not sure QB protection rules apply.

Again I get it, debate on both sides are legit. Opinions vary and so does the bias of each fanbase.

but the Hurts hit was basically when he was going to ground and hit him in a manner that bounced his helmet off the ground, causing the concussion. There was no need for the hit, let alone hit him how he did.

Hurts was greedy on that play with sliding imo, wouldn't have happened at all had that not been the case

It’s not a question of deserves, but one of responsibility. Hurts could have protected himself better if he didn’t want those few extra yards.

not disagreeing with you there...it wasn't the best slide.

but that doesn't excuse the hit. He was already going to ground, what was Luvu's intention? Make sure gravity still worked?

You become a runner outside the pocket. If you fall forward and no one has touched you, you are subject to being hit. If you really want to avoid contact as a "runner", then slide feet first giving yourself up.

We ALL have watched Luvu this year for all 15 games, he is certainly not a dirty player. He plays with more energy than anyone in the NFL, that I do know.

Having been born in Philadelphia and having many relatives that live there I have to laugh and call this Philly fans ready to make excuses before the game.

All that said I have a girlfriend who used to live in Bucks County so she and I will be ready to wrestle this weekend.

for sure.

and I am also hopeful that Hurts's knee doesn't restrain him from his legs being a weapon.

We all know Luvu will be gunning to exploit it and take him out.

Eagles fans seem to have settled on all pro Frankie Luvu for their ire for some reason.

Its bizarre.

Luvu is neither a dirty player nor is he an instigator.

Hurts got hurt because he hit his own head on the ground while scrambling.

Blaming Luvu for it is dumb.
