I hadn't really thought about the similarities until a Giants friend of mine mentioned that this season of ours reminded him of that run

It's a nice comparison in terms of the run, but I'm not exactly enamored with the Eli-Jayden comparison.

Doubt it because Whitt has been consistent with the same scheme all year however, against the Lions we did bring more pressure. The plan is to limit Barkley from explosive plays like the 60+ yard runs he had last week as well as Hurts' long run. We need to limit them to long drives killing time off the clock and FG's. No explosive plays for TD's where they score quickly. Make Hurts beat you with his arm.

The only "MAYBE" similarity traits I see are in what they are talking about Eli & JD5...
The ability to stay calm when everything around you is going crazy is one of things that separates the great ones from the good ones.

Other than that, there are no similarities between the two. As for the Championship run, yes the teams have had a similar run to this point.

I would not trade JD for any QB in the league.

This is a legitimate point. Guess we will wait and see how it plays out in the rubber match.

and I am also hopeful that Hurts's knee doesn't restrain him from his legs being a weapon.

We all know Luvu will be gunning to exploit it and take him out.

I know there is a huge narrative in Philly that Luvu is a dirty player but I just don't see it. Dirty implies intentional in my eyes. Bang bang plays not so much. and for the record, I believe it was Hurts head hitting the ground that knocked him out.

Let us not forget the days of Brian Dawkins, who I respected back in the day.
