Agreed. I think the team success depends much more upon the play of the defense instead of the offense. I think we know what we have with a Wentz-led offense (some great play/some horrible play). After 2 preseason games, I am not sure any intelligent fan could feel good about this defense. We continue to claim that we are running a "vanilla" offense. I do agree with that, but on the flip side, are other teams not also running a "vanilla" offense? If we can stop basic game plans (no true, in-depth scheming by the other team), how in the world do we think we will tighten up and stop detailed game plans in the regular season? We can blame injuries, new coaches, pre-season, whatever......the fact remains that we cannot stop starters of other teams at this time.

I still have 7-8 wins at this time. I am hoping the roster gets some upgrades with cuts, but I think Rivera is stubborn and will roll with what he has. If we get anything over 9 wins, it will literally be a miracle.

Kurt Warner did a nice breakdown of Wentz' first 2 games. He had praise for Wentz regarding getting through his progressions and his decision making (where to go with the football) however, his foot placement when delivering the football is often out of sync along with his hips to where he is throwing the football affecting his accuracy. He did critique a few concepts used in our offense that were also note worthy.
All in all a pretty good break down of Wentz.

Don't get me wrong ... I am not trying to blow smoke up Wentz's or your ass but I am not sure Mahomes mechanics are the best. Hard to argue with results and Patrick has those .... even if he looks like a shortstop throwing off balance and one leg.
