12 mil in cap screams at the ability to sign FAS
Liked Settle alot however, he was not better than Allen or Payne or likely even Ioanidis. Sign a vet DT as depth and we will be fine. No reason to panic over losing Settle or Ioanidis.

Not if we add Wagner and a vet DT as backup. Could be top 5.
I honestly hope that you are correct!!!

For me, I don't think that they are as good as they were two seasons ago and certainly not as bad as they were last season. This is probably the year that they begin to settle into who they really are/ will be going forward.

Ability to create cap space is common practice these days with teams. Should not be an issue with our team.
well apparently it is . i would be wary of pushing money into the future if we cant win a superbowl

good article explaining why the team is doing what its doing

if that is the case then its a good move for them
It not a bad contractual plan, however, 2024 is not that far away and if there are plans to make a real run at a SB title it has to be this year or 2023 before the deferred payment bill comes due. (2024). Clearly, they have little to no shot this year and unless they plan on getting real top flight players at almost every offensive position in 2023, the financial moves, as clever as they are, will hurt more then than help now.

Well the “ just redo crowd “ doesn’t see that , when I point to not having cap space that’s what I mean

If this happens it's confirmation of something that I've long accused this organization of, even with all of the coaching and front office changes. They have no idea how to piece together a winning football team.

Many years ago, I suggested that the organization hire a dedicated GM. They still have a gigantic need for one.

You are correct . This organization doesn’t have a vision of what they want or how to get there

I guess my question would be "how has that changed in the past 30 years?"

It hasn’t and that why the redskins failed . The new team doesn’t appear to have one yet
