The more I learn about this draft class, the more I believe that RB has good depth in this draft. Same thing with TE
Therefore, the Commanders can focus on the positions of greatest need such as DE, Oline, CB & other positions with early to mid round picks and still land talent at skill positions that will benefit Daniels and the offense.

I am thinking we will see some very good free agents added this off season too.

Yeah but do you pass on an elite TE prospect and settle for a lesser player at a position of greater need?

gkekoa,

If the Commanders have the type of free agency that they are capable of the team won't have to miss out on an elite TE and settle just because there is a big need in the position.

When I think of some of the top QBs all time, they had top TEs. TB and Gronk, Mahommes and Kelce.

Ertz made a lot of plays that helped our young QB. He's excited about football gain. He's probably got another good year in him but the Commanders need to build for the future.

TE Tyler Warren probably won't be there at 29. TE Colston Loveland could be there at 29.
If the team picks a TE early then they can look for WR2 later.

What I wouldn't do is pick skills players early if they don't have better run blocking from the Oline. Daniels was terrific last year but giving him a more balanced offense would make him even better.

I like big power RBs on the NFL level, especially if you don't have a top run blocking Oline. I think Mullings could make an impact. He has very good vision on the field, makes good decisions, gets tough yards but also has breakaway speed. If he is there for the late third round pick that would probably be my choice.
