The first half of the game I thought the Habs were awful, at least offensively. But the second half I thought they looked good. Wolf was really good.

Let's see, Canucks playing their 3rd game in 4 nights (back-to-back) with travel versus a rested Flames team playing at home. This has 4-2 Canucks win written all over it

Welp, Dryden Hunt recalled as Backlund is out week-to-week. Hunt is a PPG player in the AHL this season, hopefully he can be an adequate replacement for Backs.

Maybe I am late to the party, but headshots are becoming a bit of an epidemic in the League. I blame it on inconsistent and general lack of punishment.

In the STL-NSH game last night, there were 2 blatant head shots. First McCarron hit Buchnevich with a shoulder where the initial contact was to the head and got 5 and a game (deserved). Then Tucker (not gonna lie, I thought it was Darcy at first) clearly threw the elbow out on Evangelista and got 2 for elbowing . Same refs, different penalties and I suspect the League will suspend McCarron and ignore the elbow by Tucker. What was the difference between the 2 hits? Only difference to me was that Buchnevich acted concussed (he missed about a period) while Evangelista got up in a couple of seconds.

Not only is he dangerous with the elbow, he is even more dangerous with his inability to skate. That could have been way worse when his skate came up like that. Annoys the piss out of me that teams still use players like that.
