Man, this Four Nations Face-Off tourney is coming at a great time for the Flames, they are a team that has to play balls to the wall each and every night just to have a chance to win and they look like a tired team to me. It's also a good reality check this week to see that they don't have near the talent that the Leafs and Avs have.

Yeah, I can't say enough good things about him. And it really underscores how bad Vincent and Larsen were.

They both had more talent to work with and got so much less.

I mean, does the fact he scored last night really outweigh the case he's been a huge disappointment thus far in his career? I'm not a regular viewer of Kraken games, but I've seen him about 5 or 6 times now and he doesn't look impressive at all. Should Kraken fans be excited about less than 1/2 a point per game for his NHL career for a 4th overall pick?

Think this year would qualify as his rookie season too. Just turned 21. Team around him sucks. Not writing him off yet.

Yeah, I get that he's still young and I very well could be wrong and feel free to keep reminding me of that lol but he just doesn't pass the eye test for me. He could be a guy that gets you 20-25 goals and 45-50 points per season and that's all well and good, but I still think you want considerably more for where he went in the draft.

To be honest the only guy in that draft making him look foolish is Hutson but he’s also making 31 other teams look foolish too.

Just might not be a good draft year, or better yet becoming another Covid era draft where scouts just didn’t really have any idea wtf to do lol
