A year later, the Flames drafted their own version of Angelo Esposito - Do you know the name Greg Nemisz? There's no reason you should, he played a grand total of 15 NHL games and recorded 1 measly assist. Like Esposito, he somehow made it onto a Team Canada World Junior team where he was by far the worst player on the team, a slow skater with hands of cement. To make matters worse, two selections later in that same draft, the Washington Capitals selected defenseman John Carlson lol.

I don't think the Flames have the assets to entice the Sabres to trade Cozens - More importantly, he has the Lethbridge Hurricanes stank that's tough to remove

The rumored ask from Buffalo earlier this season was Andersson, Pospisil and a pick for Cozens. The thing is, I think the Flames would need to also get a defenseman (say Bowen Byram) to take the place of Rasmus which would require Calgary adding another good piece to the package.

If he plays well that is a nice find for a 7th round pick. Granted the pick was 5 years ago but is nice player development.
