Pretty much a lateral move, in my opinion. He does have some pretty good numbers career wise against the Oilers, but I don't like losing a 2nd rounder if the Flames make the playoffs (and they better make the playoffs in the division they're playing in next season).
Not sure why they'd make this move now...I feel like there will be some shifting in the goalie market post expansion draft. Also Mike Smith is 35. And mediocre.
