Treliving on Hockey Central

Q: What guidance are you giving Matthew Tkachuk right now?
BT (praphrasing) We're telling him to keep it up

Basically, Tkachuk is a power forward and a good pest. BT feels he didn't cross the line (yet) and they want him to keep contributing what he always has.

Gonna need to watch that next one.

Treliving: There are 30 other teams that would pick up Matthew Tkachuk in a New York second.

He's not wrong.

from the same interview
“What’s bothered me about a lot of [it], I’m not a big fan of the talk in the media and all the rest of it, some of comments that have been made towards Matthew,” Treliving said. “Number one, we’ve got his back. I think there’s 30 other teams other than ours who would take him on their team in a New York second. And some of the crap, I guess would be the best way to put it, written or tweeted or talked about, I think is just that.

interesting how not a single Flames player interjected to help out young Matthew.
you don't see that very often.

Lindholm did jump in, but James Kneel pulled him away. Tkachuk does wear an "A" as well, so I think he's highly thought of in the Flames dressing room.

/Big Save Dave seems to like him

BSD along with Doc Ryan are the only reasons the Flames have 1 point thus far tonight.

When I was in college group email addresses were just getting started up and the women's team had quickly snatched up "[email protected]". Our captains submitted "[email protected]". -"What does that mean?" "We had to clearly identify ourselves, so it stands for 'big swinging dicks' ". I hope it's still being used.

Quick question for @dash . If you HAD to trade one, would you choose Lindholm or Moneyhands?

Johnny Hockey is the answer.

/I would trade Lindholm, but I wouldn't like it.

Interesting.

You'd trade Johnny over both?

Is he back on the booger sugar I wonder. Because last year he was dynamic and a legit Hart candidate.

Not a playoff performer, Kenny. I don't see a guy willing to go to the greasy areas to make a difference. I also think the return for Gaudreau could be very good.

Fair enough. Personally I'd always find room for a player with his skill level but only if he has his life together.

I've heard several accounts over the last 4 years that Johnny fails in the latter.
