If he's up for it they have to look at trading Crosby this offseason. You have to think they'd get a A/B+ level prospect and a couple of firsts from a team looking to win in the next two years.

Then even if the Pens don't win the lottery you get 5 1st round picks (at least in the next 3 years. After that Malkin, Karlsson and (potentially) Letang are all off the cap. As they're contract come closer to expiring you might even get something for those guys (probably with retention).

A fairly quick turnaround (4-6 years) could be done IMO.

My goodness I can't type/write this morning, but the gist of this makes sense.

1. Crosby is like

or

2. Crosby will be the player/head coach.

PIT GM Kyle Dubas said he called Sidney Crosby yesterday to give him a heads-up on the coaching change: “Five-minute conversation…I have to do what’s best for organization.”

Not to be the grammar police, but he spelled "I have to do what I can to blame someone else" wrong.

WOW!

Honestly didn't see this coming. They did not fire him more of him deciding to leave, seems similar to when HOF GMJR left.
Time for him to go...probably to the Kraken. They love everything ex-penguin

Wow they actually convinced him to come back.

Side note he was part of two of the worst deals in recent history for the Penguins.

1. The deal they gave up a boat load for Kapanen.
2. The dumping of Jared McCann

120 goals since he left Pittsburgh. They could really have used that anywhere in the lineup.

Anyway the point is that deal was awful on too many levels because the only reason it happened was to protect Jeff Carter from the expansion draft.
