Finally they sent down Suwinski and called up another guy who hit a HR in his first game.

Hopefully that is the last of Suwinski on a major league roster.

The Pittsburgh Skenes are up 2-0 in the 5th. I fully expect the blowpen to ruin get another great start from him.

Blowpen is back. So is Holderman. Coincidence?
This isn’t even funny anymore. It is beyond pathetic, if Holderman is on the roster tomorrow Cherrington should be fired, And if Shelton let’s him pitch again HE should be fired.

Also the call up a guy, whose first hit is a HR and is yet to play again. Instead they continue to use Valdez and Triolo at first. :L

WOW!

Honestly didn't see this coming. They did not fire him more of him deciding to leave, seems similar to when HOF GMJR left.

Sully paid the price for some very questionable/bad moves by Dubas. Also, very difficult to make the playoffs with the goaltending the Pens had this season.

The downfall really started when they decided to bring in Burke and Hextall, then Dubas just added fuel to the fire. That essentially put this franchise back into the Rico Fata era. Unless they get bailed again by the NHL I don't see them being good for a LONG time.

Winning the Gavin McKenna sweepstakes would be a big step in fixing things lol

If he's up for it they have to look at trading Crosby this offseason. You have to think they'd get a A/B+ level prospect and a couple of firsts from a team looking to win in the next two years.

Then even if the Pens don't win the lottery you get 5 1st round picks (at least in the next 3 years. After that Malkin, Karlsson and (potentially) Letang are all off the cap. As they're contract come closer to expiring you might even get something for those guys (probably with retention).

A fairly quick turnaround (4-6 years) could be done IMO.

I don't have my hopes up for Dubas drafting well even if they don't win the McKenna sweepstakes.
The only positive this team is so barren of goal scoring under the age of 30 it might keep them as bottom feeders for a while and eventually the blind squirrel will find the nut.

As for trading Crosby I am not sure if he would go for it. In turn it would be a very cool story if he went to a Canadian franchise at the trade deadline and that team is the first Canadian cup winner since the '93 Habs.

And they can't get rid of Malkin and Letang soon enough. Both are essentially holding this team back due to their cap hits and age.

The Habs were Crosby's favorite team growing up - That said, the Pens would likely want some of that great young talent on Montreal and I don't really see a trade that works.

Totally agree. This is the move and if this year didn't tell Dubas that, I don't know what will.

Alternatively, the Atlanta Penguins has a nice ring to it.
