I just turned it on also and thought. Oh no the Penguins have the dreaded 5 goal lead after the 1st.

I remember a Flames game in Chicago a few years back where the Flames were up 5-0. They lost that game 6-5 in OT.

/Flames play the Hawks tonight in Chicago.

And speaking of the Leafs connection, 3 of the 6 goals were scored by players who the Penguins traded to the leafs and got back via trade or via Free agency.

If I learned anything by watching the Reddit game thread yesterday in the Blue Jackets sub it was THE FUCKING REFS FAULT that the Sharks scored.

Also, everyone should be fired and whatever goalie was in is washed and should be traded for literally whatever we can get.

Evan Rodrigues with his first ever Hat trick. Geez amazing season for him.

He has played 73 career games for the Penguins and now has 21 goals.

Rust with the hat trick. I think the fans ran out of hats though.

Sharks first goal was also a Leaf Dubas let go for nothing who has 17 pts in 27 games.

The fucking crazy part is the Leafs actually have had depth for two years in a row despite the league being absolutely littered with guys they’ve let walk or traded for jack shit who are having great seasons. I can’t even be entirely mad about it.

And to boot neither the Penguins or Leafs really wanted Rodriguez a few years back.

Even crazier Bjorkqvist rights were traded to the Leafs and that same year his rights were traded back to Pittsburgh in the Kessel trade that sent Kapanen to the Leafs. And then in the Rodrigues deal Kapanen was sent back to the Penguins.
Also add in Filip Hallander who was in the trade for Kapanen and then brought back to Pittsburgh.

That trade tree is like a family tree in West Virginia.

Wonder what we’re gonna get from to when we dump Rodion Amirov in a few years.

Okay Pittsburgh and specifically Penn State football fans - What can you tell me about Tommy Stevens? The Stampeders just signed him.

Sorry not a Penn State fan so I am of no help. All I do know is the Saints tried to make him a TE so his QB skills might not be all that good.

Might want to ask Flyer fans also since a lot from the shitty city go to Penn State. :D
