It's pretty incredible to me that whatever Perry did was serious enough that the Hawks were able to terminate his contract and yet not serious enough that another team was able to sign him just a few months later.

Staples put out an article and compiled some social media reaction to the Perry signing and as you might have guessed, Oilers fans appear to have no issue with bringing Perry on board. I gotta believe the Oilers were not at the top of Perry's desired destinations and thus this was Corey's last chance at playing in the NHL.

Tampa would have been a logical destination. Playoff contender needing help at F, and recent familiarity. Have to believe Tampa took a hard pass.

This is different in my opinion for a couple of reasons:

1. Mailloux was only 17 when he leaked the photos of the woman without her consent - Sure, it's still bad, but who didn't do dumb and regrettable things when they were 17.
2. It didn't happen when Mailloux was under contract by a NHL team.

has there been any confirmation or accurate information of what Perry actually did? even a believable rumour?
