It's pretty funny how the Oilers used to be portrayed as media darlings and the tried and true "they're building something special up there" has changed to general disdain and wisecracks these days. I mean, the Flames currently suck and likely will for the next couple of seasons, but they're "trying hard" and "competitive in every game" and generally viewed quite favorably by the media.

I still don't understand why they hired him. Other than the fact that it's obvious Lowe is still calling the shots. I mean MacTavish couldn't even go on a scouting trip without Lowe with him last week. What a joke. I know my team has made a lot of mistakes & has been a laughingstalk at times, but no team that has had 3 straight 1st overall picks & 4 straight top 10 picks should be this bad. The owner needs to wake up & clean house like Pegula has done in Buffalo.
