I was at the game... Didn't see the interview. I had heard they bought a house in the area (during some of the chatter about the trade). When there was talk about Visa issues, and him maybe missing the game, I thought it was wierd because 1) he has house here and 2) he already "works" in the US when they travel to US cities. I'm not a work visa expert, though.Yeah, it certainly looked much more positive. And remember, we have Kukan, Nutivaara and Foligno to return yet and Vanek hasn't arrived either.
Murray baby sat Johnson well, and Cole looked great alongside Savard. I also liked how Letestu was out there often in the classic "Dubi role". Late faceoffs and PK.
Did you catch the in between 1 and 2 interview with Letestu? Rimer said later he got choked up talking about how happy he was to be back and how him and his wife bought a house here and he lives here in the offseason. I didn't know that. Didn't see the interview either. The look on his face when he scored was pure effing joy.
So, a fully healthy roster should/could look something like this:
Vanek - Dubois - Panarin
Atkinson - Wennberg - Bjorkstrand
Foligno - Letestu - Anderson
Calvert - Dubinsky - Milano
Hannakeinen, Sedlak waiting. Dang. And really substitute any winger anywhere in that lineup depending on situation.
Jones - Werenski
Murray - Nutivaara
Cole - Savard
Kukan - Chorney if needed.
Johnson and Harrington refilling water bottles between periods.
I will take it. With Philly, Wash and Pitt all bashing each others' heads in down the stretch it could be good. If we survive the WC matchup (please don't be TB, please don't be TB) we could compete against any Metro team with that lineup.
And the bald Finnish fuckwit made it happen without losing a single quality NHL asset. Jeebus.
