None of the 23 ESPN hockey pundits picked Quinn Hughes to win the Norris trophy this season.

There hasn't been a b2b winner since 2008 and while I like Quinn I wouldn't quite put him in the same tier as that guy just yet. The odds are incredibly against it happening here.

Also, who cares the team won 3 big individual awards last year and lost in the 2nd round because everyone was banged up and tired there's bigger goals at play.

Yeah, I must admit I don't much give a hoot.
I do find it funny that a panel unanimously agreed that Edmonton is just going to walk through the playoffs this year. That's right, with Skinner in net.

Yes, just build that pressure!

I read another Pacific Division preview today, discovered it was from an Edmonton writer when the Oilers blurb was "expect mcjebus to reach 1,000 points on this day, as he only needs to score two points per game to get there"
Canucks blurb was "should make the wildcard"

Drop the puck already.

Would you be surprised to learn that the Oilers are the oldest team in the league? Sure, Corey Perry skews it a bit, but Skinner (the other one), Arvidsson, and Ekholm (all guys the Oilers are counting heavily on) are all on the wrong side of 30. The other thing is the Oilers have been remarkably healthy over the last couple of seasons, sooner or later, that chicken will come home to roost.

Man, Honzek almost got one, but just a little wide (Silovs may have got a piece of it).
