Interesting convo going on right now on Donnie and Dhali, in a nutshell, the demotion of Ian Clark to goalie scout seems to be that they blame Ian for overworking Demko that led to his latest injury.

I dont think that Ian Clark would take a demotion well.

overworking Demko

Grant Fuhr snorts at what they consider overworked nowadays

Theres more nut in that shell ... Dhali was on Halbro this morning ... in Friedmans 32 thoughts pod, he says Clark is probably leaving the org to go to New Jersey as the likely destination to work with Markstrom (i didnt know Markstrom named his son "Clark" after Ian) Canucks will let him go.

Clark asked to step back because his body wont let him go on the ice anymore ... but he wanted to still be the head of the goaltending dept ... and yes Jimbo2 appears to blame him for Demkos injury ... and now it sounds like Jimbo2 is pointing the finger at Ian Clark for being Woodleys source in the revelation of the specific nature of the knee injury (popliteus)

thought it was pretty clear that Clarke physically couldn't be on the ice all the time anymore (think Friedman reported it) and it was his choice to work a different role.

i hate sports radio - they will make a fluff out of anything, when there is nothing else to talk about, and then that takes on a life of its own.
add that to the average imbecile from Langley calling in every four minutes with his hot takes...... utter waste of time and brain power.

Oilers going with the PMP line, Canucks better counter with Sherwood :D

What's the over/under on when the coach panics and puts McDrai on the same line?

it was 10 minutes into the first period, by the way.
as soon as a 4 on 4 came up... boom.

and stuart skinner is in mid season form, flopping like a bitch at the slightest contact.
(and yes, resulting powerplay is loaded up with draisitl, mcjebus and advidson)

by my count, by the way, Canucks are dressing four players with 200+ NHL games
(the highest is Sprong with 334). Hoglander (221), DiGuiseppe (282) and Suter (283) are the others.

Sherwood playing with some edge in that opening stanza, he's going to be a fan favorite in no time.
