De Smith would be cheap vet insurance who plays very very few games ... can keep Silovs in Abby to play 50 games and keep developing ... and Silovs can still be called up and down next season without waivers issues ... plus if Demko gets injured Silovs can be called up and be your #1

I think we scarred him for life with the sell job last time around.

He obviously wants money and the Leafs unfortunately don't have enough of it for him unless they trade Marner which, all signs seem to suggest, they won't be doing so.

I could see Van but I just don't see Stamkos outside of a less traditional market for whatever reason. Maybe LA or Carolina if they can't keep Guentzel.

I would think both Stamkos and the Canucks know that the West travel would not be kind on him
