My guess is someone will give him a 1 year $2 mil deal or so and try to rebuild him. Tough ask though, since his first season in TO he's just gotten progressively worse until this year when he was completely shattered.

I think that they would at least entertain talking about Hintz if they could get more stability on D. their D prospect pool is light. Much lighter than at F. if they could get Jones signed for 6+, they'd have to at least consider it.

Eh, wouldn't really call them cap strapped. They have $17 mil in space this summer and nobody other than Kiviranta to take care of after Heiskanen, then have Pavelski and Radulov off the books the year after. They play in a no-tax, warm-weather market and can entice bottom-six filler there cheaply if need be.

They were also 2nd best in the league in shots against and top ten in shots for despite going the entire season without Seguin and most of it without Radulov. Can't see them messing around too much, if anything keep their ammo for the season and see what's available at the deadline if they return to contention but who knows.
