But here’s the kicker. The Canucks acquired Luke Schenn in the deal and it’s expected he’ll go straight to Utica. Schenn is widely believed to be a washed out, former top prospect who busted in the NHL.
The data would tell you he’s been a better player than Gudbranson, who is getting $4 million a year.
