I should tweet back to Eric that "My bad" is usually reserved for when you make a mistake with something that you've posted in error (e.g. getting a score/date/name wrong) and not when it's a bad error in judgement. I mean, we still don't know how serious Elias has been injured and he's making light of it?!? He's an assclown.

It makes me wonder if some of the chatter about the lack of response from the Canucks following the Matheson hit coupled with the fact that the two teams have a return engagement in Vancouver later this season forced the DOPS hand a little into making sure Matheson got something. Social media wasn't the same beast in 2004 as it is today and the Matheson hit wasn't penalized by the officials.
