Wonder how many games he will sit at the beginning of next season? I'd imagine Green will learn from his mistake and only sit Boeser one game at the start of next season. But if Pettersson makes the team, I can see him getting the first 2 or 3 games off.

Here's the thing with Gudbranson: The Canucks didn't give up much to get him when people thought he was good (still doesn't make sense, but...), and now people by and large know he's much much less good than they thought.

My guess is the offers Benning's getting are for 5th and 6th round picks and he figures why bother because I still like this guy.

i think theres a middle ground between marner for gubberson and 5ths and 6ths for gubberson lol

my guess (hope lol) is its 3rds and 4ths and this extension is being thrown out there by the organization to get Gudbransons name out and try to build some demand

Yeah, I mean, he did trade a clearly over the hill Burrows for a pretty good package, although there are only so many idiot GM's in the league and most of their teams are pretty much done at this point (see: Edmonton, Ottawa, Buffalo, Montreal). Maybe Garth Snow was a good target here...
