Not sure why. I'd rather run with youth, or maybe this is to help push them a touch?
zero risk on PTO.
allows player to showcase for other teams, allows team not to dress veterans during exhibition games.
remember Owen Nolan's time as a Canuck?

The next Ben Hutton may already be here for the Canucks, says Ben Hutton

when got to his Junior A team, they were loaded on the blueline.

“So I played my first year of junior as a foward,” Hutton said. “But in my second year, we had no D. We couldn’t break the puck out. We couldn’t do anything.

“I said ‘coach, I’m not trying to tell you what to do, but maybe you want to try me on D one game?’

“I went on D one game and in my first shift, I ended up having two assists.

“Coach was like ‘Uh, we’re going to keep you on D and see how it goes.'”

How does one get two assists in one shift?

Sbisa played a prominent role in Johnny Hockey's first goal as well...

I love how Pratt and co are all over how good the Sedins and Ericsson is together, like we haven't seen this dozens of times before. Once they put the heavy on that line when it matters most it's all over. This market and its coverage lol

you dont think theyll be good together? I mean yah ... Pratt and his 40 goals for Louie makes me wonder if Daves "recurring sore shoulder problem" is acting up ... but I think they will pretty much be the only thing that is good with the team offensively ... probably not needed though ... especially when it means we'll finish 9th or 10th :L

I heard that Jake Virtanen is up to 223 lbs coming into camp - I hope that's muscle he's adding on.

Might be better served if it was some brains but muscle is probably his second best option.
