Vey is definitely the latest whipping boy - That said, didn't see much from Brandon Sutter last night, to be fair (deported?), I thought Sven was one of the best Canucks last night.

Sutter is just saving his brash suttering sutter style of play for the regular season when it counts ... hopefully lol

just an observation but I work out at Club 16 ... last night I observed none of the monitors on any of the bikes/treadmills/step machines were tuned to the game (yes they get Sportsnetone) and they were all in use :pound:

I even watched it for an hour or so after the Jays game. What the hell else is on?

you could have reminisced watching the Pack/Chiefs game and remembered that great day when the niners drafted Smith over Rodgers

What did you guys think of those new Coyotes uniforms, I thought they were ok, I mean we're only going to see them for the next three years anyways.

I still think had Smith not been coached by morons in his early years in San Fran he could've been a good QB. Not Rodgers-good, but good enough.

EDIT: And in that same vein, Rodgers probably isn't Rodgers-good if he was coached by the same morons.

You disagree?

yah i do ... and Rodgers would probably too as you can see from the expression on his face lol

playing behind favre helped but I dont see Mike McCarthy as some sort of offensive wizard who paved the way for Rodgers to become elite

Agreed, but McCarthy was at least competent. The two coaches Smith had prior to Harbaugh both wound up as LB coaches after leaving the Niners (although Nolan made a few DC stops along the way).

Smith also improved drastically under Harbaugh. His comp% went up to 67% during his 1.5 seasons as a starter under him, which is around Rodgers' career comp%. I don't think it's crazy to think had he been coached and developed better he might've been at the very least not a complete waste of talent compared to what Rodgers became.

Also, I've never understood why none of the 22 teams that picked between SF and GB ever catch the same shit for not drafting Rodgers. Chicago, Cleveland, Tampa, Tennessee, Minny, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Oakland all drafted ahead of SF and all could've used Aaron Rodgers.
