is he a repeat offender at all? It really looks targeted to me so I do not see why he would not have a call at least? the DOPeS are very well run and not at all biased in how they perceive the game so I am sure it will be a reasonable investigation.

that was a brutal hit to the back of the head and Zary launched upwards to do it... in retribution for a clean hit... it should be an in person hearing

If he gets multiple games (and I think he should), that reflects pretty bad on the refs who assessed a 2 minute minor for interference.

i have to look at the replay again to see where the refs were standing but I totally missed it at first

the canucks got grief for not retaliating ... but I dont think even the bench saw it through the sea of humanity after Kadri got levelled and all the falling around that was going on

looks like a ref was in the canucks d zone corner and would have had a clear line of sight head on to see that hit

The other thing is Kadri is no shrinking violet, he can stand up for himself if needed. I understand what Zary was trying to do, but you don't nail a guy in the head especially when he delivered a clean check.

More to the point, I hope DPetey is okay.

Getting to be an epidemic lately. So much garbage after clean hits.

It used to be that if an opposing player got one of your guys with a clean check, you took a number and looked to respond with a clean check of your own later in the game. I don't know when it changed exactly, but now there seems to be immediate retribution needed after any kind of check (clean or dirty). I can understand the dirty hits from behind or into the boards, but that was a textbook open ice beauty of a hit by DPetey last night. Kadri likely didn't expect it and got caught.
