Seattle, looking at DB and D-Line (yes more defense). Don't like the late first/early second OL prospects and I think Luke Wilson has a big year for Seattle. I also think Zach Miller re-structures because he's not going to garner much on the market - he'd prob. rather stay with a winner.

Regardless, I think Seattle will go D-Line or DBack or even OLB. I expect numerous analysts and fans to go, "WHAT HUH!?!?!?" With Kiper going ballistic because he'll either have an OL/TE or WR going to Seattle.

Kevin Norwood was the absolute best hands at Alabama, and I thought the only thing keeping him from being considered elite was his speed, but he surprised some folks with an unofficial 4.39 40. I would love to see him get drafted high, that dude deserves it. Always money at Bama.

Most of the defensive backs have shrunk between 1-3 inches of their listed height

261 pound Michael Sam disappoints with 17 rep's on the bench.

Cmopare that to 189 pound Brandin Cooks who put up 16.

Yikes… He'll likely stay in the 4th round or later. I had him pegged in the 3rd but not with that amount of reps. He needs to bulk up quick.

He was already considered by most a 4th rounder at best. This certainly doesn't help, but he has a chance to redeem himself tomorrow.

Considering he was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year… Having him pegged as a "4th rounder at best" was ridiculous… The only real reason that I see as why he's a "4th Rounder" is because of his size for a DE. But there isn't a single recruiter out there that would consider him a DE. I guarantee that he will be an OLB in the NFL. I bet there were teams looking at him in the 2nd, but probably not anymore. His combine looks pretty weak on paper.

No it wasn't. Awards do not an NFL prospect make. Whenever you're the 2nd best guy on a D-line there are going to be questions about your ability to reproduce the previous level of play in the NFL. It's the Manny Lawson / Ryan Sims phenomenon.

Cooks arms are 3 inches shorter. That matters a lot when it comes to the bench.

But yeah...Sam is a 5th round pick or in that range as a 3-4 OLB

Johnny Football with a pedestrian 4.7 40 time combined with being under 6 ft is already a fail of a combine for him currently. Stop the Wilson comparisons because his IQ is significantly lower and they do not have similar work ethics and his off the field issues further separates Wilson from Johnny.

I think a modern Fran Tarkenton is a great comparison. Johnny Football has had an impressive combine, btw. The 2 stats that matter are hand size and 3 cone and he nailed them. 40 doesn't mean anything for QBs. Almost literally nothing.

Bridgewater seems MIA. As of right now, Id rank them Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortes all as 1st rounders and in that order. Manziel is still in the running for that first overall pick, imo. McCarron looks like the 4th best QB as a 2nd rounder. All of the other healthy QBs look like backup material.

Not as much as being 72 pounds lighter.
But it still matters a lot

Also, you could make the argument that Sam was the 3rd best player on Mizzou's dline not the 2nd but you're splitting hairs after Ealy.

I know it matters, but when it's only a matter of 17 rep's it doesn't matter all that much. Sam is pushing the bar an extra 2 more inches (arm length would be the hypotenuse of the triangle, not the straight line) per rep'. That's 34 extra inches Sam is pushing. That's about an extra rep' and a half. So it's kind of like Sam is putting up 18 - 19 rep's instead of 17 as compared to Cooks.

It's still a pathetic showing for a 261 pound guy who's gonna go up against the likes of DJ Fluker in the NFL.

I agree that his bench is bad but it shows up on film. I dont think its a terribly surprising number. Jeffcoat out of Texas had the same label and he bombed the bench, too.

Alright Clayton what OT do you want for your Rams????
Matthews, Lewan, Bitonio, Morgan, Richardson. I don't think it's a screaming need. The Rams have a lot more issues on the interior of their oline so you're more likely to see a G/rt prospect somewhere down the line
