Murray still played the puck at the last second, right before Brown hit him. I think that is a bad call

Brown can no longer get a call his way
refs see everything he does as a penalty
and everything done against him a dive.

Voynov quit trying to pass, the forwards suck, just shoot on net and hope for a rebound.

Ho hum. Another scoreless period for the Kings. Opposing teams goalies probably fight to see who gets the start between the pipes when they face the Kings.

A better period but still can't find the back of the net. I'm sure hoping the upcoming break helps them find their game. Defense first philosophy works if you score when you get chances but it hurts your offensive creativity.

And everybody's favorite whipping boy gets the tying goal. Now can the team get another one and win this game?

Well Johnson got his goal but he couldn't be -2 since the Kings only got 2 goals total. But Quick stole another one. After that first kind of soft goal he was solid and the defense stiffened. Good win. Not pretty by any means but the team needed these 2 points desperately.

Maybe getting a ugly win the Kings can build some momentum after the break

Definitely needed the win. Entering 1-8-1 in their last 10 is awful, only reason they hadn't slipped out of the playoffs is because Vancouver and SJ decided to stink up the joint too.

Technically Head Fake could have ended up a -2, his goal was a PP goal, no? If so, he wouldn't get a plus and he could have been out for both goals against which were both 4-on-4 but at ES. Viola...your -2. He did end up a -1 because he was out there on Muffin's whiffed goal.

Sure did seem like Fox was propping his sorry defensive ass up a lot tonight.
