Lets say RG3 doesn't play and Colt McCoy has a horrible game I can't imagine the amount of backlash that's about to happen.

Lets say RG3 plays, we lose AND/OR he gets hurt again. Gruden will need presidential security. Personally I think Griffin should not see the field again until he learns to make a pre-snap read, and how to throw the ball away. But to play him this week for any reason is simply a bad idea.

As much as I want RGIII to come back. I don't want him to come back, if he's not 100%. Period. We all went through this, last year and look what happened! I believe he should come back, this season, just not on Monday. I believe he should come back against the Bucs. That should give him an additional three weeks to heal. I just don't see the point in rushing back.

Colt completed something like 11/12, and led you guys to a comeback win. Kid has never ever gotten a fair chance. Redskins should be excited to see what he can do. 3 things about him have never been disputed:

He's smart,
He's accurate,
He's a winner.

He cant throw for longer than 10 yards.
The most memorable thing he did in the nfl was get hit by James Harrison

I honestly am excited to see what he can do. Like I've said, I've always liked him. Now, I can say that he was drafted by the Browns in 2008, which my friend calls ''The Graveyard" because it seems every QB that is drafted or is a FA pickup, does absolutely horrible. I honestly believe he is in a better situation. He has many targets to throw to. He can run, too. That's a plus. He doesn't have the greatest arm, but he made a few good deep throws on Sunday, especially that one to DeSean.

I watched every snap he ever took for 4 straight years, and I'm still not sure where people come up with that?

"in 715 career attempts 509 have been for 10 yards or less" skinsdad
sorry i shouldnt have said "cant", but he throws mostly short passes.

So, 29% of his passes are longer than 10 yards... is that weak in your eyes somehow?

It doesn't seem like a high percentage but I don't know what other qbs are at.
I'm loving all these Texas fans coming around here to talk up colt. Qbs get destroyed on this board so this could be interesting with the new fans

As I follow the Browns a bit I watched him in Cleveland and he was only 1 of the 3 and I"m assuming the first one. Again you are describing his career at Texas, he is in the NFL now and not the Big 12. He was missing guys all over the field in Cleveland and he sure wasn't a winner. I couldn't figure it out, as I said I thought he was a great pick and would do well. But it happens all the time when great college players move up to play with the big boys.

As for his arm we don't need stats, it should not even be a debate that his arm is marginal by NFL standards. Again this is not college. He was a 3rd round pick for a reason.

I don't care if his arm is strong, so long as its accurate and he makes good decisions. Last week he did that, so he gets another start. There's no debate that RGIII isn't getting his starting job back when healthy, so the only question remains who is the long term backup - KC or Colt.

I have 4,372,196 more important things to worry about and discuss on a board than that question. If RGIII cannot become what we want him to be, either via injury or his play, then whoever our backup is between Colt or KC, doesn't matter, we're fucked, and we're starting over.

get ready for a butt kicking of epic proportions I'm gonna say Colt McCoy has 84 yards passing 2 interceptions and a fumble before halftime
