seems several of the 'undefeated' teams are on a collision course with reality.

looking at the current records, the best record for a team the Bengals have played is currently 3-3 for Buffalo. I'd say a case could be made that we're the same old Bengals beating up on below average teams (Seattle is 3-4 now), but the same case could be made for the other undefeated teams in the league right now (unless you can call the Jets good (NE beat the Jets), but that makes me throw up a little)

We have a few tough road games on the schedule (Arizona and Denver) both teams are vulnerable and these are not guaranteed loses. how well we do against them will possibly indicate whether or not we can finally win in the playoffs. My sneaking feeling is we get a bye in the playoffs, and then lose in the divisional round. Kinda like those insurance commercials. it's what we do.

we're pretty good. home field throughout the POs would be nice. It would be nice to shellac the stillars next week. Try to get the Pats at home and steam their mush

would help to get NE at home. Dalton may be working on his MS, but Brady has a PHD.

Are you a realist or pessimist? lol

I think the Bengals are clearly the class of the DIV and 3 games up probably win the north with even a slip here or there...I actually the bigger hurdle is the 1st playoff game. You win that one and I would like my chances in NE...they keep winning games, but that's not a great NE team...especially on DEF.

Honestly, I think the Seattle game is still a quality win. Yeah, they're struggling and are a few snaps away from having 1 or even 2 more losses, but on the flip side, they are also a few snaps away from only having 1 real loss. What Dalton and the offense did to the defense was pretty amazing. I know Cam put up 14 to take the win a week after, but the Bengals moved the ball pretty well against a really good defense, and put up 20 unanswered in a little more than a quarter of play.

I think the biggest hurdle the Bengals will have is mental. They have the talent to put up points on anyone in the league. Period. The defense is good enough. The questions will remain to whether this team can believe it deserves and belongs on the short list of contenders. That is the difference between previous years and this year. So far, they look like the believe and they act like the deserve to be talked about as legitimate contenders.

Time will tell. A good test coming up with games @ Pitt and then just 4 days later against a bad browns team on Prime Time. There wouldn't be any shame in losing @ Pitt with Ben returning. They have a loaded team on offense. But, win or lose against Pitt, the Bengals have to come back and win that Browns game regardless if they want to be taken seriously.

Bengals off a bye vs Steelers off a loss. My money, sadly, is on the Steelers. But if we can win this game, I'll shut my pessimistic mouth for the rest of the season (unless it is needed for the jinx thing).

Yes, the teams we have played do not have a good record.... This is a weird artifact of the season though. There are 5 undefeated teams through 7 weeks for the first time ever. Look at all the standings. There are the undefeated teams, a very few above average teams and then a bunch of trash.

We're one of the best 5 teams in the league. If we stay healthy we'll remain that way.

I think it's the most complete team in the NFL. There are still undefeated teams left in the NFL but none look dominant

The Steelers just lost to the Chiefs. They're just not that good. We'll beat them handily.

meh...they still had Bell. Brown had a great game. They still got fucking clobbered...by the 1 win Chiefs.
Turnovers. It'll kill any team, even good ones.

But the defense still isn't that good, and I still question if their offense can keep up with a team that will put up points on their defense. Especially considering that the forte of Ben's game is getting outside the pocket and extending plays in the passing game. If he's limited with mobility, his game takes a big hit.

I want him in a body bag on Sunday. I want their punter to be missing some teeth by games end.

Bell scares me. Brown scares me.

I figure if our defensive line plays well, they could minimize the issues those two guys will give us. We should be able to move the ball on that defense.

Get up big, and you can at least remove the running game some. Bell still catches it, though. They have weapons, no doubt about that.

after we cook their grits we will have just beaten a team with a non winning record. See how the winning record myth works? It's catch 22
