Shit, talk about a disappointment. Omaha's got the talent, but they are VERY young. It looked like the stage was just too big for them. Providence played a hell of a game and just dominated from start to finish. It was kind of unexpected for them to get there this year, most people were expecting this either next year or the following. They have 16 freshmen and sophomores on the roster, so hopefully this is good experience for them and they can get back to the Frozen Four soon. Next time, hopefully they remember to show up to the game.

Jon Gillies (Flames prospect) with 49 saves tonight. Meanwhile, O'Connor in the BU net handed the win to the Friars.

Feel really bad for the BU goalie. I'm happy that Providence won because they've never won one before, but that is a super terrible way to lose.

Tough to say the game was handed to them. They still scored the go ahead goal after the blunder. It just kept us from knowing what an OT would bring.

That sort of goal completely changes the momentum and feel of the game though. It was a HUGE mistake. That said, what Providence did definitely earned them the title. They didn't exactly have an easy road to the finals being a 4 seed.

wow the BU goalie almost cost them the semifinal game when he let if that shorthanded goal when he wasn't paying attention than he lets in a own goal in the championhip game to give the friars momentum. Talk about a rough weekend.

It physically hurts me to see that.

That kind of shit drives goalies insane. I mean, more insane.

Showed that to my son, and he winced. And said "That's why you say 'don't move' if I don't know where it is after it hits me, huh?"

Congrats Providence.

Not much discussion about College Hockey in here.

The Frozen Four Final is on ESPN tonight at 7:00 PM

Surprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UMass and St. Cloud State will battle it out for the NCAA Championship.

Been a ton of bitchin' because so many teams violated protocols and got bitch slapped by the NCAA and whole buncha players tested positive.
For once the NCAA didn't fold to the big schools that generally dominate a sport or sports and said, "Rules have to be followed in Basketball
and football. Champions were crowned. Hockey will have a champion.

UMass is ranked 6th nationally and St Cloud State is ranked 7th.

UMass beat Duluth (#10) in OT with four starters out with Covid Precautions.

For hockey fans, this is going to be fun to watch.
