As a computer science guy, I can tell you right now that NC State and Texas A&M kids got on their little computers and wrote some lines of code to get that many votes.

Imagine actually getting 300,000+ votes in a few hours................

As if 300,000 NC State fans even exist to begin with.....................and if they did, as if 300,000 of them would even be that concerned with winning this competition.

That would be an insanely elaborate bot. The bot would have to go and create a bunch of email addresses, save all the email addresses and passwords in a database, then the bot would have to go to the site and vote with each one of those email addresses, then go and sign in and out of each account, verifying each vote.

I wouldn't attempt to write that script even if I was paid $1,000.

The way they had it this first go around it was easy for the programmers to do. I could have done it for Nebraska no problem.

They just created a script that types in fake email addresses, adding a new number to the end of the email address each time. So basically it was something like [email protected], [email protected], etc.........eventually it was [email protected].

It is not for the show to come here. It is just to come here to film a commercial for the show.

Although if you look at the schedule, there could be a good chance they come here for the Michigan game. Wisconsin/Michigan St is the only other good game that day. Plus with the Michigan/Nebraska game being a 7:00pm game on ABC or ESPN with Herbie maybe doing the game increases the chances.
