It isn't in Pullman because this is the best match up of the week.

They have been publicly looking for an excuse to go there for years now with WSU's streak of flying their flag at every single one. It has been a story they have covered several times. Old glory will fly at every CGD until they go to Pullman. This is the first time they have been ranked and hosted a ranked team at a point where they could schedule to go there in years.

It was a few years ago we got hosed in it as we hosted Stanford and were both top 20 teams but they went, I think Philly or Jersey or something.

It was the outcry after that when they started trying to be more aggressive at finding an excuse to go there. Wasn't it just a few weeks later they did a feature piece on the whole flag thing?

They had flack from not going to Pullman despite marketing the flag streak.

I think they also don't want to go there in late season blustery frozen weather. The weather lining up I'm sure also played a part. Sunny and 70.

I’m not really sure, people were pissed about Stanford but I haven’t watched gameday in years. They did a special on Steve Gleason so I watched then but couldn’t stand the show. I think it was Desmond Howard and whoever the boring white former player was were just terrible. At least with all the other pregame shows in the NFL and NBA there are personalities to entertain you when they run out of stuff to say, Corso was the only one and at the time he didn’t look like he was doing so well.

The one I’m talking about didn’t involve Notre Dame because my father in law is a Notre Dame alum and he would bitch slapped me had I complained about them, but like I said my memory is a little fuzzy on it so I can’t say for sure who it was just in the northeast from what I recall definitely not a SEC team.
