LOL...I went 11-12.

this has been one of the most extreme weekends of my life...
2 days of non-stop great fun with wonderful peeps, massive amounts of delicious food and drink...
unabashed, glorious gluttony.
coupled with
non-stop inexplicability, one reminder after another that nothing is certain, that chaos trumps order...
sobering stuff, fer sure...
but, on balance?
I'll take fun over sobriety every day!!!

damn dude, my weekend sounds pretty boring by comparison, and I went out WAY more than I normally do, had dinner out at two different restaurants, celebrated two birthdays, and had people over for the super bowl...

what is a normal weekend like for you???

damn...
tough question...
there have been sooo many.
suffice to say, however, that wifey & me enjoy the company of others almost as much as we've enjoyed each other for so long...we get out a lot and we entertain a lot - especially on weekends. Some weekends, though, stand out (are 'extreme')...and this one past certainly was.

sounds like yours mighta stood out from the norm too. (isn't is great to have all of those 'real-life distractions' - parties, friends, family - to balance off the mental stress of seeing your team's hopes n dreams threatened?)

i sat on my couch for 3 hours, until 4 am on Saturday night, trying to process what just happened to Ashley. I posted on here, i went on pointguardu and vented, I took a walk around my neighborhood...and I still can't believe it.

worst part is that he is SUCH a classy kid, and I selfishly spent the first few hours thinking about myself and the team rather than what this could do to his career. Foot injuries are the worst, the only silver lining is that he isn't necessarily a "heavy" big man, and so his lower half doesn't support too much weight...

he is probably going to leave for the nba regardless of the injury, so we have probably seen him in an Arizona jersey for the last time. THAT is terribly depressing.

What a tough break DC. I cant even fathom what its like to have a legit title contending team and maybe have it all disappear on one fucking play. Going to be tough to overcome this, from the 8 or 9 times Ive watched you guys this year it seems like Ashley is kind of a glue guy and he appears to be one of your most potent offensive threats. On a team that plays great D but that can struggle to score at times I cant imagine this is going to be easy to overcome. Just sucks.

On a serious note though, that really does suck for Zona and more importantly Ashley. Nothing worse than working your ass off for months only to have it all ended in the blink of an eye. Hopefully it recovers as quick as possible and still has a great long career.

I felt the same a few years back when SUs starting center blew out a knee in the BET. Keita was a skinny freshman then and got abused in the dance.

All you can do is hope the best for Ashley and hope they figure out how to replace him by March.
