I always hate when I hear a friend or colleague going on a "holiday" to Dubai or anywhere like that.

These places are seriously ass-fucking-backwards and we shouldn't be okay with it. Europe may need their energy resources but we sure as hell don't and should be avoiding the region like the plague until they stop thinking a 1400 year old prophet is telling them to kill gay people and r*pe victims.

Well.. Canada Geese are a pain in my ass. Nobody wants to be a Loon, even though they're amazing birds. Cardinals = St. Louis. So what are we left with? I personally would go with Osprey. Cool looking birds found on lakes and rivers plus I've seen them chase off bald eagles more than a few times.

next to my inlaws condo on Lake Okanagan in downtown kelowna is a protected marsh where theyve erected poles ( i said pardon? ) for ospreys to create nests ... amazing bird to watch stalk prey and pull fish out of the water

There's a raptor centre about five minutes from my place on Vancouver Island - It's pretty amazing the collection of birds (falcons, ospreys, owls etc.) that congregate at that facility.
