Yes it does, especially if it covers a wide area. My most recent one finishing my bicep and shoulder, I broke out like crazy from constantly moisturizing it, I just hate the itchy feeling.

Oh my God, that must have hurt! On my left arm I have a peacock feather running down the inside from the bicep to mid-forearm. The meaty party of the feather is right on the inside of my elbow. Most painful tattoo I've ever gotten. I might have cried.

My wrist and elbow pit (?) were the worst, aside from that, didn't hurt at all. I have a high pain tolerance. But my wrist blew up like a balloon, and my elbow pit (?) was just awful, very sensitive there. Like I stated before, I have a full sleeve planned for my right arm, but this damn eczema is pissing me the fuck off, so I may just keep my appointments and add some color to this sleeve and just hold off on the right for a little while.

I have a high tolerance for pain. But the inside of the elbow is torture. Not just the tattoo but the healing as well. I couldn't bend my arm comfortably for days after I did the inside of my elbow.
