Friggin starving... I am now hooked on this anime series I started watching at work today on my phone. Its called Death Note. Pretty interesting.

I've heard good things about Death Note from my anime-enthusiast friends. I've not started watching it myself, yet.

It is rare to have a show with two very dynamic characters such as Light and L.

How is it that you can just sit there and watch shows/movies and nobody says anything? lol I mean, yeah, it's Sunday, but what kind of a sweet gig allows a dude to sit for hours doing basically nothing while still getting paid??

Agreed... I have never been this intrigued by a cartoon before. The writing is awesome.

Reading subtitles sucks though... I know the english versions are on hulu, but hulu is blocked at work.

If you are not really an anime fan, another one you might like is called Baccano!.
It revolves around a couple of silly thieves, a couple of gangs/mob families, a train ride and a secret society. The story jumps around certain time frames from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
Of course, there is are a few twists that I won't spoil for you.

Well, I wouldnt say I am not a fan, I've dabbled in them here and there back in high school and the beginning of college. Just never religiously followed a series. Only title I can remember that I liked was Princess Mononoke (sp?)

I moderate an english dub anime channel on justin tv when I have the time.
I don't really care for a lot of the stuff he shows but it does introduce me to some good stuff plus what people in chat bring up.

I think you will like Baccano!. Definitely not for kids. Pretty violent and some good stuff. Interesting story telling the way it jumps around and you piece together the story from a lot of different interesting characters.
