I just got a mailer from a pretty major Republican group tied to John Kasich and Rob Portman urging all republicans to vote for Tim Ryan.

Both Democrats and Republican groups are battering the shit out of Vance who has responded by sending a fundraising mailer to the people of Youngstown reminiscing about his days growing up in Youngstown, a place he verifiably didn't grow up.

He oopsed and sent it to everyone.

I saw drone footage of two Russians in a shed or something having some brokeback mountain time. The drone hovered until they were finished and dropped a bomb. Ukrainian soldiers are merciless. Those people who wandered into the capitol and played military guy would get destroyed on a a level that is hard to conceive.

However, if Texans get to take their own guns they would have better weapons than most Russians. Which of course means that Ukraine would have better weapons soon.

I read a book* a few months ago that overall I did not like very much. It was supposed to be a satire of current civilaztion and it's fall, but it was rarely funny and more often than not depressing. However, there was a really funny chapter where a local militia took over an unmanned army base and thought they were invincible only to get completely destroyed when a handful of real soldiers showed up. Guns dropped, crying, and running within seconds. I liked that part.

*Anthem by Noah Hawley (writer of Fargo and Legion TV series), I liked some of his other stuff but this was rough.
