Unless I'm mistaken that's 'his' judge who supposedly surprised most legal minds by granting him his special master in the first place.

no. Court asked trumps lawyers if they we willing to state on the record that they had evidence of document planting or manipulation, and if they didn't the court would consider that matter closed for good (as in shut the fuck up about it).
Of course, no lawyer was willing to state anything under oath, so the matter is dead.
