They are using ranked choice voting, and the next round will be whittled down to two candidates for the November election.

There is very wide speculation that most people who had Palin first had Begich second. BUT most of those who had Begich first had "anyone but Palin" second. Meaning that it is possible the Dem candidate might pull this off.

Unforutnately I have no clue who Lisa Laflamme is but from what I can gather CTV let her go because she was an old female?

Unforutnately I have no clue who Lisa Laflamme is but from what I can gather CTV let her go because she was an old female?
Was anchor for a national broadcaster's nightly newscast.

I don't think it was specifically for this (my gathering from that article and other info that's come out makes it seem like the company's news director simply was tired of having his unquestionable orders questioned by her and her producer) but the fact it was mentioned at all is just the shittiest of looks. The fact they had the best ratings of the three major networks' newscasts makes it pretty dumb.

Thanks. It seemed odd from the outside but that really ties into the nature of broadcast journalist.

They stereotype of old Men seem dignified and old women are just too old.

Canada's smallest federal riding (Labrador) has a population of 26,600 people. Its largest (Edmonton-Wetaskiwin) has a population of 209,400. :noidea:
