I'm of the opinion most "fancy" (Michelin-starred or otherwise) restaurants kinda suck.

Never forget going to Italy and my wife making a few reso's at high-end places and being pretty underwhelmed compared to going to holes in the wall and eating some of the best food i've ever tasted.

Yup, they just can't wait to race to Twitter anytime a shooting occurs outside of the States to post their little gotchas or wins. The last mass shooting of any type in Denmark prior to the one that happened a few days ago was 28 years ago. As far as Japan is concerned, you have to worry more about mass stabbings than anything else, but even those are very rare.
