Okay, I'll bite.

People getting banned on Twitter had nothing to do with "politics" until the people getting banned for spreading dangerous misinformation and lies started calling the practice of actively lying and trying to hurt people "politics". To gain public trust as a source of news you have to do one thing and one thing only.

Tell the truth. To try and piss of both sides equally is a stupid strategy because one side gets angry at lies and the other gets angry at the truth.

As an example, it would terrible if someone created a twitter account called "People who r*pe and eat dogs" and have scheduled it to tweet this photo daily:

One side would get angry because it's probably not true. The other side would get angry because it speaks ill of the person who is making it possible for them to again spew hatred on a social media platform people actually use.
