So many morons vote GOP?
Chicken or the egg question, isn't it?

Do they vote stupid because Republicans are selling snake oil and whipping them into a frenzy, or is Republican leadership playing to them because they are easy, stupid votes?

I have to say, between Fox News and the GOP, they've done a great job over the last 25+ years of scaring the uneducated white people in America that immigrants are taking all the good jobs and you can't trust anyone that has a different skin color.

Man the Kevin McCarthy hate train is in full force today. Love it when they all tear each other down.

Yeah, while I strongly disagree with virtually every word that comes out of their mouths, it's hard not to have a certain degree of...I don't know, respect feels kinda dirty, but the best word I can think of...for how successful they've been in rallying a large % of the population around several issues that should really be pretty insignificant.

The Ds haven't been able to find that "it" the way Rs have with guns, gays, darker skinned people, and abortion. They've been able to get so many people to vote against their own financial and long-term self interests over issues that don't affect them in any meaningful way. It'd be impressive if it wasn't so gross.

/off to take a shower now.

I don't love it. It's honestly fucking sad. This isn't leadership. Nobody is dealing with actual issues, even ones that should have bipartisan support. Their egos are all over the place. Many of them are literal criminals, both at work and in their personal lives. The ones that shout the loudest and most ridiculous things are rewarded the most. They just scare people on one issue and never face any repercussions or take responsibility for being totally wrong or false, but just jump to scaring people on another issue (literally several media mogul's career model now being used by the elected officials themselves).

It's sickening.

The lack of faith in public institutions is disturbing and certainly the pre-cancerous mole warning of what portends.
