Conservatives think they're the "new punk rock". Punk rockers were/are iconoclastic in nature which means the supposedly new "punk rockers" would have been more than happy to see statues toppled. Also, a real punk rocker wouldn't have any issue with spitting on a bible or a Donald Trump.
