Trump "violated the 10th Amendment and federal law," California attorney general said

From CNN's Alisha Ebrahimji
California Attorney General Rob Bonta called President Donald Trump’s order calling in the National Guard to Los Angeles “unnecessary, counter-productive and most importantly, unlawful,” during a news briefing on Monday.
Bonta added, “the order that abused the federal government’s authority and violated the 10th Amendment and federal law, an order that skipped over multiple rational, common sense, strategic steps that should have been deployed to quell unrest and prevent escalation.”

I had to look it up and according to Chat GPT he straight up violated it several times over the last 100 days. We all need some Republicans to find some courage here.

10th Amendment – Coles Notes version:

Any powers the U.S. Constitution doesn’t give to the federal government – and doesn’t ban from the states – belong to the states or the people.

Main idea: Limits federal power, protects states' rights
Core principle: Federalism
Example: States can set their own education or health care rules if not federally controlled

It’s basically the Constitution saying: “If we didn’t mention it, it’s not D.C.’s job—it’s up to the states or people.”
